Beginner Swing Dance lessons in Dalston

Join us every Friday in Dalston for Swing Dance Lessons. 
Experience and Partner Not required! Beginners welcome.

Try your hand in a drop-in beginners class or try something a bit more challenging and sign up for a month-long progressive course. Both classes focus on the technical, musical and social aspects of the dance. Afterwards practice your moves or stay around for a drink as Tiger Rag brings London's best jazz musicians together to play music till 3am.

9pm - Beginner lesson. Drop in, £10 (no prebook, experience or partner required)

8pm - PreBook beginner course. New cycles start the first Friday of each month. Pricing Below

This class is for absolute beginners who may have only taken a handful of beginner lessons and are wanting to improve and progress past the basics in a social environment. Each month we’ll work on fun and challenging content to help you improve and build confidence as a social dancer. We’ll focus on Lindy Hop, the most common swing dance in the world. Our friendly teaching team will answer any questions you may have and make sure each student improves on their skills.

Swing dancing, specifically LIndy Hop, is a type of dance done to swing music of the 1930's and 40'. Today Swing dancing has experienced a revival around the world as a way to connect to music, people and history. The Vintage Arts Asylum hosts classes that focus on the technical, historical and social aspects of vintage dances.
